2009 Mini Cooper Clubman Review
Car, the Mini Cooper is a real driver’s car and if you don’t smile after driving one – there’s something wrong with you. I just love these cars and wish I could justify a reason to get one, but I can’t.I have a family. A Mini is not very commodious for a family. I have a large dog. A Mini doesn’t accommodate large dogs very well. This is the sad reality of the Mini; when it comes to holding stuff, the Mini is not that good.
Recently, Mini introduced the Mini Cooper Clubman. Basically, it’s a stretched version of the Mini with split doors at the rear and an extra rear opening door on the passenger’s side. Other than that, it’s a Mini. It still drives and handles like a Mini with little degradation in performance or economy. The Mini Cooper Clubman is less than 10 inches longer than the regular Mini Cooper (and less than 200 lbs heavier), the 118 horsepower (with 114 lbs feet of torque) is the same, sweet little engine. I averaged about 27 mpg driving like an idiot.
