Auto review: 2009 Toyota Yaris - Orlando Sentinel

Toyota has struggled a bit building a satisfactory entry-level vehicle for the U.S. consumer this past decade.
The Echo hit the market in 2000 and promptly flopped, its jelly-bean-shaped styling entirely lost on the youth market Toyota so avidly sought. The company ended up with more Echoes in retirement communities than on college campuses.
Then came the Yaris in 2006, as a 2007 model, and it was better than the Echo, though that's faint praise. The Yaris had the unfortunate problem of debuting about the same time as the similar Honda Fit and Nissan Versa, both more accomplished models that again made the Toyota the odd car out.
This is not to say the Yaris is a bad car, because it isn't — it has a certain amount of utilitarian pluck, some quality construction and gets very good gas mileage. It's just that there are cars in this size and price segment that are more attractive and certainly more fun to drive. What they lack, though, is

Does the Toyota Yaris have as good of a reputation as other Toyota cars?

The Toyota Yaris has recently peaked my interest with it's low price tag and amazing gas mileage, but is it's reputation as solid as other cars in the Toyota line? Also, I'm 6'5" and a little hefty, but I've heard the Yaris sedan has great leg room. Would I fit in this thing?
i do not know if you would be able to fit in one, answer this yourself by going to the dealership to buy one.
if you live in a small city, it would be a little harder to find.
also, the car is very safe size does not have alot to do with safety, back in the 70's they had cars half that size.
as for reliability, it is expected to be very good. On the other hand, the competing car from chevy, the aveo, would does not have a good reliability.

We are going to buy Toyota yaris 2008, is a turquoise metalic color best color to choose?

I am wondering if turquoise metallic would be best color in buying a car (toyota yaris 2008). Does is not easily faded as day passses by since it has a natural light color. Please advice.
Its a good colour - but the percieved wisdom in the motor trade is that silver cars are easier to sell on - it may add a little to the resale value.
Great car BTW. I have had a diesel Yaris for 2 years now and it runs like a dream and is cheap for fuel, tax and insurance.
