LAND ROVER LR2 The LR2 HSE brings numerous enhancements to the new model year: All-new 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a sparkle silver finish are now standard. Providing an alternative, 19-inch shadow chrome finished aluminum alloy wheels are an available low-cost option. There are new interior features, including almond-colored leather seating surfaces with nutmeg-colored carpeting, plus two new instrument panel trim choices, dark laurel (woodgrain appearance) and satin silver (metal-look appearance). A handy 12-VDC power socket has been incorporated in the rear load space area. On the exterior, the lenses covering the side turn-signal repeater lamps are clear instead of amber colored. A darker matte-gray finish surrounds the lighting elements in the taillamps. A new-for-2009 HST exterior styling package provides a more aggressive mesh grille design, painted front and rear bumper and side sill enhancements and dual HST exhaust tips.

I want to buy a land rover LR2 but am worried about reliability issues?

I dont want headaches with a vehicle! And I heard some bad things about land rovers, but it's getting EXCEPTIONAL reviews on yahoo autos and edmunds.com. I'm just wondering, has anything changed w/ land rover in recent years that would increase the quality and reliability of the LR2 or are these reviews based solely on chance/luck? I appreciate all answers, thanks!
everything gets better over time (including reliability) and it is a awesome car, and if the people on yahoo autos and Edmund's say its good, those r real people telling u what they think. if they say its good the chances r that it is. but like everything anything new has things that go wrong (like new computer programs) a.k.a. iphone. if u are willing to pay some money for the Lr2 on reliability, then your good. but anything that's from the u.k. isn't built right, at least cars anyway. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should I buy a 2008 Land Rover LR2 or 2007 Acura RDX?

I need to base this decision not only on reliability but also on comfort and up to date technology. Does the RDX's stiff ride serve better than the land rover's bad track record? Which will last up to 6 years?
I would say the RDX definitely serves as the better choice. Acuras, being from the Honda family, tend to be more reliable cars. Not only that it will probably have an excellent resale value. As far as the Land Rover goes, it is from the Ford family if I am correct. Ford, not having the greatest reliability, (I know cuz I've owned b/f), is not the greatest choice considering it's resale value is horrible. I'd say stick with the Acura if you're looking for a car for the long run because it'll show you many more better days than the Land Rover. I think ride quality is a small sacrifice for all the money you will probably end up saving with the RDX.

Infiniti is a car, while Land Rover is a mid-sized SUV. Both are in the $30,000's.
Why compare apples to oranges? If you want an SUV, get the Rover. If you want a sports coupe, get the G35.
