2009 Subaru Tribeca Limited
27.01.09
Add the Tribeca to the list of vehicles I completely forget about, but actually like once I'm behind the wheel. This has to be Subaru 's nicest interior, and the 3.6-liter boxer-six provides plenty of power. I'd complain that the looks of the Tribeca are just as bland as the rest of Subaru's current lineup, but bland is much better than the Tribeca's previous design, which was universally chastised. The Tribeca never feels quite as large as it is, which is a good thing on country roads. It's not nearly as athletic as the cars in the Subaru family, but that's to be expected. I like the seating position and there's pretty good visibility. Looking at the price and fuel economy for this Tribeca, my interest starts to wane. My main complaints about the Ford Flex are the price and fuel economy, but the fuel economy for the Tribeca is virtually the same as an AWD Flex and this tester's $37k sticker pushes it almost to the price of a luxury vehicle, which is certainly not how I'd describe the Tribeca. Not that the Tribeca is a bad choice, it just works better when you're not optioning it to the max.

What is wrong with my 2008 Subaru Tribeca?
Nov 08, 2008 by djkat24 | Posted in Subaru
We purchased our 2008 Subaru Tribeca in April. It is less then 6 months old. Last night it would not start. It is not the battery.
We had it towed to the dealership, but they can't find what's wrong with it. The service guy said they still need to check the "brain" of the car. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Whatever it is is under warranty so they will figure it out. If they don't and you have the same trouble with t they will have to replace the car so they will fix it. As long as they are taking care of it and treating you good, don't worry about it too much. It could be something as simple as a vacuum leak somewhere and they just need to locate it.

How many people does a Subaru Tribeca,a Nissan Rogue, and a Toyota Highlander hold?
Oct 07, 2007 by wemomsrock6720 | Posted in Subaru
I would like to buy one of them, but I'm not sure which one to choose. They all look sleek and stylish,
but I want an SUV that holds at least 8 people.
i dont think any of those fit eight max five especially the rogue the tribeca i heard has a third row (it holds 7) and so does the highlander but the highlander third row really only fits little kids have you checked out the trailblazer or the envoy they also seat seven none with eight in your selections.

Is a Subaru tribeca good for Mom of 3?
Apr 26, 2008 by Mom of 3 | Posted in Subaru
I'm trying to decide if I should go for a fun to drive suv (already have a '03 sequoia) like it, but it eats so much gas. Or go for the minivan. So are there any tribeca owners with 3 kiddos out there and what is your mpg? Is the 3rd row easy to get to and roomy enough? My kids ages are 3,6, and 8. thanks.
The tribeca is a great car... Safe, and lots of space... Currently getting 17.7, but once it warms up, should expect about 18.9 mpg... Hope all works out, and let us know what you get!
