Toyota and Honda are on Kelleher's mind today as he points to the 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring ($14,995-$22,395), a new four-door hatchback aimed squarely at vehicles such as the Toyota Matrix, Pontiac Vibe, Dodge Caliber and Mazda3 Sport.

The Elantra Touring competes exactly where a huge percentage of Canadians buy, and this is where Honda and Toyota originally made their mark and still dominate. The Honda Civic ended 2008 as Canada's best-selling car and the Toyota Corolla was No. 2.

No surprise there. Entry-level vehicles account for 51.5 per cent of all new vehicles sold in Canada and compact cars like the Civic and Corolla, not to mention this new Hyundai, own 26.4 per cent of the market.

This is what Canadians can afford, says Kelleher, adding that he believes Hyundai has established itself well enough to compete with the Toyotas and Hondas of the world. Several years of consistently good scores in reliability studies from Consumer Reports and others give Hyundai the kind of street cred Toyota and Honda rode to market share gains back in the 1980s.

Mainly how to get off the door panels? any speacil tools? is the glass part of the door panel assembley?

It's not hard at all. If this is your first time, I would suggest buying a Haynes manual specifically for your car and year. This Manuel will tell you step by step on what you need to do and what tools you need to do it. The manual typically goes for about $10.00. Plus, you can use the manual to work on anything else on your car. You can buy it at your local Automotive store or check out the website.
