Ford confirms 2009 Mercury Milan Hybrids and Focus Hybrids
 Ford along with Lincoln and Mercury is bringing up the new Mercury Milan into the market by the end of November 2009. The car was first displayed in the Auto Show in November in Los Angeles. This car will be a midsize sedan. The car is still on tests and trials.
Because the car is still not out so no actual details about the specifications and all are available. Though some details are available which are based on rumors. There are three models which are to be launched. All of the three models are hybrids. The engines are quite compatible with the Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner Hybrids. This includes the Atkinson-cycle 2.5- liter I-4 and a series-parallel hybrid transaxle which is from Aisin. There is chance of a larger version that is Milan's 3.0-liter V-6 as Ford is doing considerable amount of work on that. Focus Hybrid will probbably feature same engines as new Hybrid Milan, but will come to market later in 2009.
The new Mercury Milan will have the same roofline as in the current version with many changes in front and rear which are quite noticeable. There are many curves that are introduced in the front starting from the headlamp which quite resembles the Mazda.
The grille in the front is wider than it used to and inspired from the Mercury’s waterfall model. Also the bonnet is more like a pronounced power dome which has accents all around the front grille.
Also there are many design changes in the model like the rear section in this model is rounded off and because of this the there are many curves in the back side also. These changes are quite noticeable in the fender and the bumper. Also the prototypes are loaded with LED backlights, but still no confirmation that weather all models will have this feature or not. Due to these lights the rear lights now appear larger than before. Pricing information and exact timing of new models is still unknown. ...

The Sharks are starting to look a little less invincible on home ice. Thursday night it was the Carolina Hurricanes doing the damage, twice overcoming a two-goal deficit and eventually coming away with a 4-3 shootout victory in a game in which turnovers did the Sharks in. In the shootout, Hurricanes forwards Tuomo Ruutu and Sergei Samsonov put the puck in the net, while Milan Michalek was the only Shark to score. It was the Sharks' second straight game without a regulation victory at HP Pavilion, where the team is 23-2-2-1 for the season. "The three goals they got tonight, we assisted on every one of them," Sharks Coach Todd McLellan said. "It was on our tape and we set them up — individual mistakes. As a coach, we win or lose together, but individuals have to be a little bit sharper. We have to execute a little bit better." The game marked high-scoring defenseman Dan Boyle's return to the lineup after missing three games, and although he was kept off the scoresheet, the Sharks got two goals from elsewhere on the blue line. Alexei Semenov got his first goal of the season and Marc-Edouard Vlasic his fourth; Ryane Clowe was the only other Shark to score.

I have 2006 Mercury Milan, which has the newer stock radio that Ford is installing in their vehicles. In a 2005 Ford Mustang, I saw the radio display the type of music being played and the song type across the radio display. I would like to know if anyone has programed their radio to do the same and if I can do the same with my radio. Thanks!

I just got a 2006 Mercury Milan and I live in Maryland, so it's a state where you have to have a plate on the front and the back. I don't see a mounting place in the front. Do I have to take it to a shop and have them install one? Or what?

In Texas we do the same thing, 2 plates req. i prep new cars everyday at my job, there should be two small pre- drilled holes in your front bumper ( the size of the point of a pen ), if not grab you two screws and make your own holes

What is the fifth headlight setting on the Mercury Milan?

I am renting a 2006 Mercury Milan, which did not come with an owner's manual. On the headlights control module, there are four settings on the top and one setting all by itself toward the bottom-left of the module. I understand what the top four settings are, but I need to know what that fifth setting is and how to activate it (the control knob does not turn past the four top settings).
The four settings that I do know are: auto, off, parking, and headlights on.
It's the FOG LAMPS,
You don't turn the switch to that setting.
When you have the headlights on..... just pull out the switch, towards you & that little icon will light up to tell you that your FOG LAMPS are on.
