Toyota Highlander: The Hybrid SUV
There are still doubts on the capabilities of hybrid SUVs. The users are still confused how they could work out. The fuel economy factor of SUV is really an issue of concern. But then, Toyota has proven that the concept of a hybrid SUV can really work with their new Toyota Highlander hybrid. It is sure that the user will be ready to pay a bit more for the Toyota Highlander hybrid than you would pay for the regular gas engine, as many people feel that the benefits are worth the extra cost in the beginning.
Superior Fuel Economy
The fuel economy factor of Toyota Highlander is simply enticing. Most SUVs do have a problem with the fuel economy factor, but Toyota has successfully over come it. Since SUVs are heavier, bigger, and the aerodynamics of these vehicles are not as efficient as on cars, they use far more fuel than a car does. The hybrid cars are making headlines for a few years now when it comes to fuel economy, now the Toyota Highlander hybrid is planning to do the same thing. It is a fact that you can get fuel mileage on this new hybrid SUV that is just as good as any cars out there today. So, the Toyota Highlander is definitely offering fuel economy that cannot be beaten by any other SUV.
Better for the Environment
The latest Toyota Highlander hybrid is more eco-friendly than conventional SUVs. Saving the environment and cutting down on emissions is important and the Toyota Highlander hybrid can help in saving the environment.
Passenger Room
Just a glance at the Toyota Highlander hybrid will make it clear that why it is called one of the best SUV in the market. This SUV has plenty of room for passengers. Even the back seat has plenty of legroom, even when you have the seats in the forward position

Honda Hints Insight Price May Be Higher Than Expected - U.S. News Rankings & Reviews
06.02.09
Honda's new Insight hybrid may be more expensive than initial reports have suggested. Though multiple sources have placed the insight's price below $19,000 , the vehicle has already gone on sale at a price thousands of dollars above that figure -- in its home market. Jalopnik reports that the 2010 Honda Insight is now on sale "at a cost of ¥1,890,000 (approximately $21,000)... in Japan." Edmunds Inside Line says the Japanese market price offers a hint of what the U.S. price may be. "Honda has not yet announced U.S. pricing, but has said that the hybrid will be priced below the Honda Civic Hybrid...The base 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid starts at $24,320, including a $670 destination charge." If prices around $21,000, the Insight would still be the most affordable hybrid car available in the U.S. Edmunds notes, "The base or 'standard' grade 2009 Toyota Prius starts at $22,720, including a $720 destination charge. The uplevel Touring grade Prius starts at $24,990, including destination."

Wha'ts the difference between the Toyota Camry and the Camry Hybrid?
Oct 08, 2008 by Candygirl | Posted in Toyota
What's the difference between a regular Toyota Camry and the Toyota Camry Hybrid? Which is the better buy?
Haha, I think I answered your question about the Corolla and Camry! :)
-First off, when people think of Hybrib, MPG is the only thing on their mind. Not power, just the money to fill up a tank.
-This might be helpful: Here are the models of the Camry. LE, SE, XLE, and Hybrid. The are listed from lowest price to highest price.
-But anyways, the "REGULAR" 2008 Camry gets 21 MPG in the city and 31 on the highway. Those ratings go for the LE, SE, and XLE models.
-The next model is the 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid, which achieves 33 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on highways.
--Here's some more info.
-The LE has a 2.4 L, 158 Horsepower engine with either 5 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission.
-The SE also has a 2.4 L, 158 Horsepower engine with either 5 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission.
-The XLE has a 3.5L V6, 24 valve, 268 horsepower engine with a 6 speed automatic transmission. This is the most loaded and power model.
-The HYBRID has a 2.4-liter, 147 horsepower engine along with an electric motor that creates combined output totaling 187 horsepower.

Is the Garmin Map Update 2009 dvd compatible with the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
Nov 30, 2008 by helmsmartha | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I recently purchased a 2009 Garmin map update for the gps in my car. I'm not entirely sure that it will be compatible with my 2007 Toyota camry hybrid.
Not unless you have an aftermarket-installed Garmin GPS in your TCH. The Toyota navigation system uses a proprietary navigation DVD. Updates occur about once a year, and you can only get them from a Toyota parts source.
In the US, a new DVD will be upwards of US$200.
However, in Europe/UK, you can see if the updates are worth it before you order a new DVD, and pricing is vaguely better... http://www.toyota-mapupdates.eu/
