Are Lincoln MKX Hybrids on the horizon for late 2009 or the 2010 model year?

Any truth to (anyone heard) the rumor that Ford will offer hybrid version of the Lincoln MKX (and/or its Ford-badged counterpart, the Edge?)
According to hybridcar.com, production of hybrid Ford Edges and Lincoln Mark Xs is scheduled to begin at Ford of Canada's Oakville Assembly Complex in 2010.

can a 2007 FWD Lincoln MKX be flat towed behind a RV ?
Oct 17, 2007 by ablackhurst2005 | Posted in Lincoln
The owners manual say's the MKZ can be flat towed. But I can not find any other information to back that up. The Lincoln dealership say's NO that it is not equipped with the right tranny.
yes
