2009 Subaru Outback The package: Compact, five-door, four- or six-cylinder, all-wheel-drive, five-passenger crossover utility vehicle. Can losing the rear spoiler on my Subaru Outback cause engine problems?
Sep 20, 2008 by beakerbum | Posted in Subaru
The rear spoiler busted off the back of our 2006 Subaru Outback. Now we cannot get the car out of park, the check engine light is coming on and cruise control won't work. Is this all related?
If your rear spoiler had a break light in it then you may have an electrical short that MAY be causing other problems. Long shot but probable.

How is the best way to see Subaru Outback in TN?
Feb 05, 2008 by sandy e | Posted in Subaru
I am not good at sales and I really like this Subaru Outback Legacy wagon. It is smaller than a SUV but still has all wheel drive and good on gas.
My problem is all the dealers are so far away that it is such a ordeal to get it there and wait that I am going to have to sell it.
I just wondered if there was a better season to sell and how to advertisve.
I really like this Subaru but the drive to dealers is to far away.
Sandy
I meant to asl sell a Subaru.
If I understand correctly, you are happy with your Outback but unhappy about the lack of any nearby convenient Subaru dealer and have, therefore, reluctantly decided to sell your Outback. That's so sad.
First, I want to make sure that you understand that it isn't necessary to have a Subaru dealer perform the periodic maintenance described in your Warranty & Maintenance booklet, like oil changes, filter replacement, etc.. Such maintenance can be performed by any competent local mechanic or repair shop. Just be sure that all of the work performed is documented and that you save that documentation. You only need to take your Outback to a Subaru dealer when you experience a problem which would be covered by a Subaru warranty.
I would imagine that now would be the best time to sell a Subaru in Tennessee. This is the season when many people start wishing they owned a vehicle with all-wheel drive, like a Subaru.
I would try to get an idea of your Outback's value using tools like http://www.edmunds.com and http://www.kbb.com . Then I'd advertise it in my local paper's classifieds and in any local free classifieds paper like the Thrifty Nickel.
