It's a nice-looking vehicle, but there are many roomier and less expensive alternatives. Toyota bills the new model as "more useful than a sedan, but more car-like than an SUV," and sees it as filling a gap between the Camry sedan and the Toyota Highlander SUV . In reality, it's a gussied-up station wagon. The company dropped the Camry station wagon after the 1996 model year, but that's what the Venza is—a revived Camry wagon with a taller profile, sleeker styling, and higher price than a traditional station wagon. It just couldn't look like a wagon because that would be the kiss of death with American consumers.

I just bought a 2001 Toyota Highlander Limited. I was told by the salesman that it is a 2WD. But all the reading iv been doing on the limited says that is all time 4WD. does anybody know what I bought? And if you have or have had this car. Tell me what you think about it. Thank you

Yes, the TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED does come in 2WD bec our next door neighor has 2005 HIGHLANDER LIMITED 2WD and when we were visiting ATLANTA GA for wedding in early MARCH 2008, I also saw several TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED 2 wheel drive which makes sense bec not enough snow and inclement weather to justify All Wheel Drive (AWD) which gets less mpg. FYI my wife drives 2005 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 6 cylinder AWD <= we don't have limited but we also own TOYOTA SIENNA XLE MINIVAN

How do i tow my wifes 05 toyota highlander with a 2005 Nissan pathfinder?

I need to move my wifes car (05 toyota highlander) for about 1200 miles - without driving it. I intend to use my truck (05 Nissan pathfinder); the truck doesn't have anything hooked up for towing. Any advice or recommends would be appreciated.
Using a transporting company would be my last alternative as the budget is very tight for this move.

First you will have to get a tow hitch for your truck. If you don't know much about hooking one of these up, then you will have to have a shop install it and set it up for you, an RV shop should be able to do this for you. If you are towing that far then you will want to have her vehicle on a trailer, so you will probably have to rent one from UHaul or a place like that that does one way rentals. They will let you know if the set up (trailer and vehicle) is within safe limits for towing with you Pathfinder, which I believe has a 6000 lbs towing capacity. Just remember, when you are towing, take it easy, don't speed, and allow plenty of time for braking and space for maneuvering. Consult your owner's manual for other info about towing with your particular vehicle.

I broke my keyless entry remote and missplaced the other one I had. I just purchased one (not from the dealer) and need to know what do I have to do to program it? Its for a Karr alarm system. 2006 Toyota Highlander.
If it's a "karr" system it sounds like aftermarket crap thats you might as well just take out of the car because it's useless crap.
as for the factory remote, try holding down one of the buttons (most likely Lock) while turning the key in the door lock.
